If u quit just remember one thing dude..... ur throwing away a great hobby. If u give this up for good cuz you keep losing and ur pressured to do it, then u will find urself even more sad when u realize that the days of wc3 ends and all the ppl u met will not be in ur life again


I'm 'throwing it away' to pursue other interests. If I find myself sad, that's fine, but I realize why I did what I did, and why I do what I do. Try to live w/o regrets. Can't look back... and go in circles and circles.

BTW, Tod has't posted on his blog yet this year, anyone else notice? He just moved to China w/ Sase, you'd think he would have some new-found motivation. Maybe not? Will he surprise us with huge comeback? Or will beginning of this wc-year be ToD's retirement soon as well maybe? He just moved to China..hmm.


And above all, don't forget where you're going.

For those of you who have not given up and want a last piece of advice:

Just mass games. Watch replays, mass games, repeat. You do not get better if you do not play. It is that simple.

But honestly, it is not that fun. What IS fun about starcraft/warcraft is being noob and massing Use Map Settings(UMS) and custom games with your other noob buddies. Once you get into the "play to win" stuff, you cannot really go back. Or maybe I just grew out of it, heh. But seriously back in middle school starcraft was so fun. Whole /f l just played sunken defense and stuff nearly.

So yeah, good luck have fun everyone.

SPEED-E TP

So I have been noticing how poor my micro is now since I no longer really play regularly. But that doesn't have much to do with what I'm going to write about, ahah! I have chosen to blog today about IMPROVING micro; actually only a really small thing. It has to do with using town portal.

Anyone else use double-click to TP? Sometimes, wait. LOTS OF TIMES, your army will go to some weird position in your base. 'Big deal,' some might say, 'just target it.' Well that's nice but it requires moving the screen away from your army, and in doing so you sacrifice the ability to continue micro-ing 'til and town portaling at the very last semisecond, etc.

'So what?' You can use backspace to quickly center on your town hall! Unfortunately, backspace is not in a very convenient location on the keyboard; it is far from both hands. So I took the time(few minutes) to edit my ahk script. My 'Caps Lock' key now presses backspace(I didn't remap Caps Lock to Backspace though). To town portal to my main hall, I now simply hit 'Caps Lock' with my left pinky(pinky is such an ugly name for a finger), hit the side mouse button corresponding to 7 or 8 on the numberpad(wherever my town portal is in the inventory), and left click target where I want my units to TP to. Brilliant!

While choosing the key to make backspace, I learned that the '`' key left of number one cycles through idle workers.. much more convenient than F9 or whatever the other one is. I actually just clicked the icon on lower left-hand-side screen before.

Yeah too bad I did not do this earlier... I feel like I am crying wolf but s e r i o u s l y I think I am going to quit soon. Soon. Seriously.

Here for the new ahk file. By the way, alt-f no longer toggles formation too. 'Alt-f' just acts like 'f' now.
